Building environment and conservation capacity for municipalities by collecting, voting and acting on common issues
Community Conserve helps solve the common conservation and environment dilemmas that municipalities face. By encouraging planners, municipal employees and councillors to submit questions or issues, Community Conserve offers support for real-life problems.
As a collaboration between the Miistakis Institute, Environmental Law Centre, AUMA and the Rural Municipalities of Alberta, is an effective tool to find solutions to common issues. Community Conserve uses a three step process:
- Anyone can submit and vote on conservation issues and ideas related to Alberta municipalities.
- Projects are crowd-funding by municipalities and partners.
- A team of researchers completes a project that aids in supporting municipalities overcoming their common problems.
To begin, submit an environment or conservation issue that affects Alberta municipalities. Vote on ideas that you would like to see crowd-funded and would benefit your municipality.
