Alberta’s OneStop web application is being expanded to include Water Act approvals. The OneStop application is a tool from the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) to submit, manage and view approvals for pipeline applications, reclamation certificates, tour reports, notifications for construction activities and more. Starting in January 2019, OneStop will also host Alberta’s Water Act approvals.
This change to an online application process is intended to streamline the application and review process by integrating various applications and reporting into one platforms.
Water Act approvals are a major expansion of OneStop – the platform now extends beyond AER’s programs and incorporates mandates under Alberta Environment and Parks. The Water Act Code of Practices that can be submitted through OneStop are:
- Hydrostatic Testing
- Outfall Structure on Water Bodies
- Pipeline and Telecommunication Lines Crossing a Water Body
- Watercourse Crossings
Alberta Environment and Parks is hosting information sessions to learn how to submit and manage applications in OneStop. The information sessions are on until January 17, 2019.
