How the proposed Rocky View County solar project compares to other solar farms
Rocky View County is preparing for the creation of one of the largest solar farms in Canada. Land use changes passed in March 2019 are preparing the way for a 150 megawatt solar farm nearby the Hamlet of Indus, east of Calgary. When complete, this solar farm will have 700,000 solar panels and will be able to supply power to nearly 25,000 homes.
