Google Environmental Insights Explorer is available for two Alberta cities: Edmonton and Calgary.
This interactive tool includes estimates for greenhouse gas emissions from buildings and transportation, in addition to estimates for rooftop solar potential. The data comes from regional assumptions, municipal data and standardized emission calculations based on population and mix of energy, building, transportation and solar factors.
In addition to viewing the data in the interactive map, detailed information (such as a visual representation of the solar potential of individual buildings) is available and the raw data can be viewed.
