To monitor for droughts across the country, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada created the Canadian Drought Monitor. There are current drought conditions as well as historic drought maps showing the distribution and intensity of droughts. An interactive map for drought analysis has nation-wide information dating back to 2013, including for all of Alberta.
You can visualize your own information on the Canadian Drought Monitor web app and view the data along with current drought status.
