For two decades, soil surveys and analysis have been standardized across the country to assist agricultural producers and soil researchers with analysis. The result of this effort is the Alberta Soil Information Centre – a province-wide database of soil information available as an interactive map.
Explore the map by zooming into your region or searching by municipality. Soil information available includes landform classification, land suitability index, soil components and layers.
The data is targeted to agricultural producers and land owners, but the extensive and comprehensive database is intended to be accessible to all types of users.
