Supporting and promoting the best practices in First Nation land management

The National Aboriginal Lands Managers Association (NALMA) is a Canada-wide network that incorporate First Nations values and beliefs with land use planning.

It was started as an ad hoc committee in 1999, and the association has since expanded to include regional association. In Alberta, the regional association is the Treaty and Aboriginal Land Stewards Association of Alberta (TALSAA).

NALMA holds events and workshops to support and connect First Nations land managers responsible for the management of lands and natural resources.

See the NALMA events page for an updated listing of training, workshops and forums. National events (included events in Alberta) are listed.
